The GeoMax combines its geometrically maximized shape and 25-gram tungsten rear sole weight to create a super high moment of inertia (the club's ability to resist twisting). So, when you hit it a little off-center the GeoMax will still launch your shot straight at the target.
Standard fairway wood head designs have less mass and weight in the rear of the club head, which means when an off-center impact occurs, the club head will twist and send the ball off-line from the target.
